Ondo East Local Government has bolstered its leadership structure with the inauguration of newly appointed Supervisory Councillors and Advisers, a move aimed at enhancing service delivery and reinforcing good governance across the area.
The ceremony, held at the Local Government Secretariat in Bolorunduro, brought together council officials, political leaders, and key stakeholders to witness the formal induction of the new team.
Addressing the appointees, Executive Chairman Ogunduyilemi emphasised the need for diligence, integrity, and patriotism in serving the people.
He noted that the appointments reflect his administration’s alignment with Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s “Ease Agenda” initiative, which prioritises effective governance and community development.
“Our people deserve accountable and responsive leadership. Your appointments are based on merit and proven commitment to public service. You are now expected to deliver excellence,” he stated.
Mrs. Odimayo, Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), described the appointments as a critical strategy to ensure inclusive governance and foster collaboration within the council.
She urged the new officials to work seamlessly with existing leadership to advance development initiatives across the local government.
Representing the appointees, Hon. Albert Adejayan pledged dedication to their duties and promised to uphold the values of transparency and service excellence in their new roles.
Notable attendees included the Leader of the Legislative Council, Adeniyi Adeoye; the Secretary of the Local Government, Mrs. Apeke Catherine; elected councillors; senior council officials; and other stakeholders.
The induction is seen as a renewed effort by the Ondo East administration to streamline governance processes and ensure effective implementation of policies at the grassroots level.
