Members of the Synagogue Church of All Nations and Emmanuel TV partners in Ondo, Osun and Ekiti States have expressed support for the wife of late Prophet Temitope Joshua, Evelyn, as new leader of the church.
Founder of SCOAN, Prophet Temitope Joshua known as TB Joshua, suddenly died in June this year without naming any successor.
Crisis erupted in the church when some members of SCOAN under the auspices of Global Congress of SCOAN (GCSM) rejected the emergence of Evelyn as the new church leader.
Members of GCSM said Eveyln was never anointed a pastor and that the late founder’s last wish was for one of his anointed disciples to take charge of the church.
But SCOAN members in Ondo, Osun and Ekiti, who spoke at a briefing in Akure, disowned members of GCSM saying they were being used by the disciples cabal.
Dr. Francis Bamidele, who read a prepared speech on behalf of members from the three states, said the fight against Evelyn Joshua was because she stood up ‘against their looting spree and authoritative impunity being perpetrated by the cabal disciples, some of whom have been sent parking.’
According to him: “We members and partners of the Ministry in Akure and environs of Ondo, Ekiti and Osun State, therefore debunk and refute this fabricated falsehood with absolute emphasis and to declare our full support of the emergence of anointed Prophetess Evelyn Joshua, the wife of Prophet TB Joshua, as the leader and arrow head of SCOAN and Emmanuel TV, having been legitimately confirmed and pronounced by the Federal High Court, Lagos.
“The acclaimed global congress group and its so called members are not known to us in Akure. No genuine members and partners, have ever come across this acclaim group called global congress and its members in several church programmes and activities conducted in Akure or in Lagos church auditorium in the last 20 years.
“However, investigations conducted revealed that the acclaimed global congress group is not unconnected to the cabal disciples of Prophet TB Joshua who upon the passing on to glory of Prophet TB Joshua in June 5, 2021, connived and diverted several billions of the church funds into their personal accounts and looting the treasury of the church with impunity.
“Because it is no longer business like before, the cabals become bitterly aggrieved and resulted to a battle and now using every propaganda weapon to fight the new leader of SCOAN. It will interest you to know that EFCC is already investigating the financial misappropriations of former disciples.
“It is really sad and disheartening that these former disciples who came wretched along with their families seeking for spiritual and financial help from Prophet TB Joshua now turn around in connivance and become a thorn to the wife of the man who sacrificed so much spiritually and financially to bring them up.
“The public is therefore advised to disregard and jettison such divisive statements from the disgruntled entities in whatever form .”
