It is with much delight that the Ondo State Football Association relishes Sunshine Stars Football Club’s qualification for Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Super Six.
At a point in time, it looked like the darling team of the people of Ondo State would miss out on the cut. However, with renewed spirit and dedication on the part of the players, their handlers and supporters they pulled the nut out of the fire.
More importantly, Ondo FA appreciates the support of Ondo State government through the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Dele Ologunloluwa. Hon Ologunloluwa kept sleepless nights when the going was tough till date. Without funds, guidance and attendant contingency Sunshine Stars would not join the big boys for the Super Six.
May I remind Sunshine Stars that the battle has just begun. A Super 6 that also has Bendel Insurance, Rivers United, Lobi Stars, Enyimba and Remo Stars is mini war. Sunshine Stars must gird their loins with an improved vigor and energy.
As we savor this moment, Ondo FA assures of necessary logistical support to ensure a successful playoff for the NPFL title in Lagos.
