The Ondo State Football Association has congratulated Gbenga Elegbeleye on his confirmation as Chairman of the Board of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

 Elegbeleye, a former Director-General of National Sports Commission was until this appointment, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC).

The football governing body in Ondo State was particularly excited that thorough-bred sports administrators as well as former internationals like Daniel Amokachi, Dominic Iorfa and Davidson Onwumi have also been called upon to bring their experience to bear on the newly constituted board.

 Ondo State Football Association Chairman, Otunba Sunday Dele – Ajayi in a statement personally signed thanked the Nigeria Football Federation leadership for appointing round pegs in round holes and tapping from the expertise and experience of Elegbeleye and the other appointees.

Ondo FA is assured that the standard Elegbeleye set with the NPFL last season, will be a starting point for the League.
