Ondo FA congratulates newly promoted NPFL clubs

The Ondo State Football Association (ODFA) has congratulated the four football clubs that recently secured promotion to the elite Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
ODFA believes the promotion of the clubs did not come on a platter of gold as it showed the beauty of the games of football as well as the resilience of the teams.
“We are particularly excited by the return of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan whose history dates back to the 1970s when they won Nigeria’s first African Club competition honours, the Cup Winners Cup.
Also, our resounding felicitation goes to sports entrepreneur Otunba Kunle Soname for the success of his club Remo Stars and his unending financial commitment to football.
In the same vein, Ondo FA salutes the 2021 Nigeria National League (NNL) winners, Niger Tornadoes for pulling the nut out of the fire for a historic win and the never-say-die Gombe United whose return has brought back great memories.
Ondo Football Association also congratulates the leadership of NNL for a successful conclusion to the season despite a few hiccups.
Wishing all the new clubs a successful 2021/2022 NPFL season.
