The Ondo State Football Association has issued a stern warning to competition organisers, clubs, and football promoters against inviting unregistered clubs to participate in tournaments without the association’s knowledge or approval.
In a statement signed by the acting Chairman, Mr. Oladimeji Abimbola, the association expressed dismay over the blatant disregard for due process by some clubs and administrators.
The association warned that it will enforce necessary sanctions in accordance with its statutes, the Nigeria Football Federation’s laws, and FIFA regulations.
The statement serves as a reminder to administrators, clubs and local football councils of their roles and responsibilities to uphold the integrity of the game in the state.
A friendly reminder to all stakeholders to comply and avoid bringing disrepute to football in Ondo State.
