The Electoral Committee of the Ondo State Football Association has disqualified 11 candidates for failing to meet the stipulated electoral guidelines.

The Chairman of the Committee, Barr. Olusola Oke, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday in Akure.

According to Oke, the committee reached a unanimous decision to disqualify candidates who failed to comply with the electoral requirements. Other members of the committee include the Vice Chairman, Barr. Adekunle Ayodeji, Mr Bisi Ayodele (Member), and Oluwafemi Adeleye (Secretary).

Oke stated that out of the 64 individuals who obtained forms for various positions, 11 were disqualified after a thorough screening process.

He explained that the disqualifications were due to various reasons, including failure to present certificates, lack of involvement in football activities for the past three to four years, and absence from the screening process.

The disqualified candidates include:

• Tokunbo Akinyelure (Chairman, Idanre Local Government) – Failed to present or attach any certificate during screening.
• Abiodun Mohammed (Chairman, Akoko North East Local Government) – Had not been involved in football activities for the past three years.
• Adeyemi Victor (Vice Chairman, Ose Local Government) – Did not provide a residential address in the state and had no record of involvement in football activities.
• Salahudeen Sefiu Adeyemi (Secretary, Odigbo Local Government) – Absent from screening.
• Akinfolarin Orimisan (Member, Ese Odo Local Government) – Absent from screening.
• Ogunoye Olalekan Ajibolade (Secretary, Owo Local Government) – Absent from screening.
• Osasono Ojo (Vice Chairman, Akoko North East Local Government) – Absent from screening.
• Folorunsho Stephen John (Vice Chairman, Akure North Local Government) – Showed no indication of involvement in football activities.
• Dele Olorundare (Secretary, Ondo West Local Government) – Disqualified for failing to meet electoral requirements.
• Akinmoladun Bamidele (Secretary, Idanre Local Government) – Disqualified for failing to meet electoral requirements.
• Awosika Olajide (Vice Chairman, Ondo West Local Government) – Disqualified for failing to confirm the accuracy of the information provided and for submitting an incomplete form.

Oke assured that the committee remains committed to upholding the electoral guidelines and the statutes of the association.
