Ondo governor approves employment of 1,100 primary schools’ teachers

As part of deliberate efforts to fill critical vacancies in public primary schools across the State, Ondo state Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has approved the employment of One thousand One hundred teachers by Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, (ODSUBEB).


The Governor gave the directive after the completion of the recruitment process.
This is coming less than two weeks to the approval and documentation of over one thousand teachers for public secondary schools in the state.


The Executive Chairman of ODSUBEB, Mr. Victor Olambitan appreciated Mr. Governor for approving the recruitment aimed at addressing gaps and possible shortfalls created by workers leaving the Public Service.


Olabimtan according to a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the board, Prince Bolu Diesel Ajijo said employment will go a long way to improve Pupils –Teachers’ Ratio in our public primary schools.
He added that it will help the quality of education delivered in schools, especially in rural and hard to reach areas across the state.


Documentation for the successful candidates will begin this week
Full details on how successful applicants will check for their names and commence documentation will soon be made public, he added.
