Ondo governorship: Election Petition Tribunal fixes judgement for June 4

The Ondo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Akure, has picked June 4, to deliver its judgement in the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)and its candidate, Agboola Ajayi, and two other parties challenging the election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa

The three-member panel headed by Justice Benson Ogbu, on Saturday stated that the tribunal would give its verdict on all the petitions on June 4, after counsels to the parties in the case had adopted their written addresses.

Ogbu said,: “After parties final addresses, further proceedings, as agreed by all parties in the tribunal stand adjourned for judgement.”

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) filed petitions against the poll’s outcome, which produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
