Ondo govt allocates ₦7.5b for agric ministry

The Ondo State Government has allocated a sum of ₦7.5 billion the Agriculture Ministry extra ministerial department and Agency (MDAs) in the agricultural sector.
This is in addition to the regular 2025 approved capital budget for each MDA.
The Administrative Secretary of the Ondo State Agric Inputs Supply Agency, Mr Adeola Felix Akinyugha, disclosed this in a chat with The Hope in Akure.
He stated that the agency has forwarded the prices of various agricultural inputs, including those not currently in stock, to the Ondo State Bureau of Public Procurement for benchmarking and funding by the government.
He stated that the agency has procured and distributed various agricultural inputs to its Farm Service Centres across the state to ensure farmers have access to genuine, affordable, and adequate agricultural supplies during the 2025 farming season.
Akinyugha commended farmers in the state for their continued patronage of the genuine and subsidised inputs provided by the agency.
“The level of coverage across the state also allows farmers to access our inputs right at their doorsteps,” he said.
He encouraged farmers to visit the state’s Farm Service Centres for their agricultural inputs and wished them a bountiful harvest in 2025.
