The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing sustainable and affordable electricity across the state.

Aiyedatiwa made this known during a visit to a Power Gas facility in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government area. He was represented by the Special Adviser on Power,  Dr.  Johnson Jaiyeola Alabi.

Alabi emphasised the state government’s dedication to promoting energy development that drives economic growth and improves the quality of life for residents.

“This administration is resolute in ensuring that every part of Ondo State has access to reliable power. We believe partnerships like this will be instrumental in achieving that goal,” he stated.

The governor’s vision is to establish a coordinated and inclusive power sector framework that delivers meaningful impact to communities and supports the state’s industrial ambitions.

He noted that the visit was a key step in the ongoing efforts to explore viable partnerships with private sector players, especially in deploying Independent Power Plants (IPPs) powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) turbines.

The project, currently championed by the Ondo State Power Company Ltd (OSPCL), is aimed at providing consistent and affordable electricity to various parts of the state.
