The Ondo State Government has reiterated its commitment to enhancing the social welfare of the people.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa stated this during a visit to the state’s Correctional Centre and Children’s Home in Akure.
Represented by the Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Dr Seun Osamaye, he noted that the visit was aimed at assessing infrastructure and service delivery at the centres to facilitate prompt intervention where necessary.
He added that the visit sought to rekindle hope and strengthen social welfare services in line with his administration’s Our Ease agenda, designed to improve the lives of the vulnerable and less privileged.
Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in the future of children by transforming their vulnerabilities into strengths, enabling them to become valuable members of society.
He also assured that similar interventions would be extended to other vulnerable residents across the state.
According to him, the visit underscored the seriousness of the mission and the collective effort required to drive meaningful change.
Children at the centre described the visit as a sign of great hope and a reflection of the Our Ease agenda of the Aiyedatiwa administration.
The Acting Permanent Secretary, Mrs Oluseyi Odushola, alongside other directors from the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, accompanied the Special Adviser on the visit.
