Ondo guber: ACPN still searching for aspirant, State chair

Ahead of the governorship election in Ondo State, the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) has said that it is yet to get any gubernatorial aspirant that would show interest to contest under the platform of the party in the next year poll.

The State Chairman of the party, Chief Afolabi Babalola, who disclosed this in an interview with The Hope said the party is still expecting viable aspirants to show interest under the platform of the party for the election.

The party, he pointed out has no any aspirant for now to contest at the party’s primary before the election that would come up in the state next year.

But, Babalola expressed optimism that the party will surely contest in the election.

“We need a candidate if you people can get for us. For now the party has no aspirant to contest in the election”. he said

He explained that the 2020 election would not be an exception for the party just as he recalled that two aspirants contested at the party’s governorship primary in 2016.
