The Chairman of Coalition 2020, Mr Akinsola Akinbobola has described the Coalition’s adoption of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as will of God.
He stated this during the Coalition’s appraisal meeting held in Akure, the state capital.
He commended members for their comportment during and after the adoption processes, adding that he refuted all the temptation to influence the outcome of the election by some forces.
According to him, “I never collected money from the Governor to adopt him, as been peddling around, if I had collected money from him, I suppose to work for the money by telling our members where to vote, I never tell anybody to vote for a particular candidate”, he said.
He said; “the Coalition is now in one fold, no division in Coalition 2020, we have to be focused and committed in order to deliver on the task ahead of us, which is to ensure the return of our adopted candidate”.
The former Special Adviser on Political and Mobilisation to the immediate past Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko therefore charged all members to begin mobilisation for the return of the incumbent Governor at their various local governments.
In accepting the outcome of the adoption, Members of the Coalition unanimously passed a vote of confidence on their Chairman and other executives based on their leadership candor.
Members of the Coalition also exonerated the leadership of the Coalition of bribery allegation leveled against them by some dissident members of the coalition.
The Coalition unanimously resolved to work as a team to ensure their adopted candidate, the incumbent Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu emerged victorious in the October 10 Gubernatorial election.
