Ondo guber: APC members support Oke’s ambition

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akure North Local Government area of Ondo State have declared their support for the ambition of Chief Olusola Oke in the primary slated for April, 2024.

The pledge was made during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Akure, the state capital.

On hand at the event were politicians from across other political parties who said they were there to boost the chances of Oke, as they said they were willing to decamp to the APC in order to realise their intention.

The party leaders who could not hide their loyalty said Oke has been there for them during thick and thin, and that they cannot forsake him at this juncture for pecuniary gains.

A former House of Representatives member, Afe Olowookere said time has come to hand over the party flag to Oke.

Former Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Dele Fagoriola, emphasized that a thorough-bred and experienced person like Oke is needed at the seat of power in the state given his deep and rich experience.

Similarly, a former Ondo House Of Assembly member, Isaac Ayeyemi, said the state needs a people-oriented politician like Oke whose name has been a household name even among  little children.

Another APC leader from Oba-Ile,   Chief Ologbojo, said emphatically that the time is now and the people will surely not regret if Oke is given the opportunity to fly the flag of the party.

While responding, Oke appreciated everyone who came far and near to associate themselves with his aspiration of pushing poverty out of the state.
