By Fisayo Akinduro

The Ondo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, has described the ongoing governorship election as peaceful, free, and fair.

Yusuf-Ogunleye made this remark shortly after casting his vote at the Irowo, Oba Ile, Ward 09, Unit 020, Akure North Local Government Area.

According to him, residents turned out in large numbers to exercise their franchise, adding that the process has been devoid of any form of disruption.

Addressing concerns about vote buying, the commissioner dismissed the notion, stressing that elections are not commodities to be traded.

He further emphasised that voters have simply been coming to the polling units, casting their ballots, and returning to their homes without any incident.

Also at Akure North polling unit 09, NTA at Aguda’s house voters came out en masse to vote for their preferred candidates.
