Ondo HMB charged on best practices

Special Adviser on Health to Ondo State Governor, Prof. Micheal Odimayo has urged the State Hospitals’ Management Board (HMB) to strive to obtain impactful results and best practices for the improvement of the health sector.
He spoke during a meeting of top HMB officials, led by the board’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ayodele Adiji in his office in Akure.
According to him, it is important that the board must embrace firm hospital management and monitoring to drive best practices.
He assured of government readiness to actualise a major facelift of health facilities to achieve Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision for an effective and efficient healthcare system in Ondo State.
Odimayo emphasised the importance of collaboration and synergy among departments and agencies in the health sector.
Adiji highlighted the board’s recent achievements, including the approval to employment of medical personnel and the upgrade of entry points for doctors and nurses.
The HMB management team expressed gratitude to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for constituting the statutory board members and for purchasing two Hilux vehicles for effective service delivery.
However, they also outlined their needs, including ambulances, employment of more health workers, renovation of buildings, and a monitoring vehicle among others.
