In a bid to ensure coaches are updated in their field, the Ondo State Sports Council has sponsored two Hockey coaches and six players for a two days high performance clinic in Ibadan, Oyo State .
The two-day Rocket Grassroots Sports Foundation for the field Hockey coaches and players will hold today Friday and Saturday 9 and 10th this month at Lekan Salami Stadium (Training Pitch) Adamasingba, Ibadan,Oyo State.
The clinic will be anchored, by a Canadian based Nigerian field Hockey Coach,Tunde Odedokun.
Odedokun, will take the participants on the Designing Game, Team Cohesion, Talent Discovery Management and other technical and tactical inputs.
In a chat with Sporting Hope, the head coach of Ondo State Hockey Association, Mark Oloruntola opined that the clinic will be an eye opener.
He added that the clinic will improve his proficiency as a coach.
Oloruntola thanked the General Manager of Sports Council, Mr Henry Babatunde for approved their participation in the clinic.
According to him, it will broaden the knowledge of the players on the of stick.
As a coach , it will help in starting bup my team and also know how to defend when in vantage position.
