‘Ondo insurance packages save lives’

Director-General, Ondo State Contributory Health Commission (ODCHC) Dr. Abiodun Oyeneyin has described the various insurance packages of the commission as preventing out of pocket expenditure spending with the present economy of the country.
He stated this yesterday while speaking with The Hope in his office, Akure.
According to him, with the high cost of health care services in the country, the different products of the Commission; Abiyamo Scheme for Pregnant Women and Children Under the age of five and Orange Health Insurance Scheme for all public servants and their dependants save them from catastrophic out of pocket expenditure, adding that they have provided a safe haven and serve as a form of protection.
He said that the commission has also ensured that capitation payment to all the hospitals both government and private are up to date thus providing employment opportunities to residents of the state.
He thanked the Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his vision that birthed the Contributory Health Commission.
He hinted that for the Basic Health Care provision Fund Programme (BHCPFP), 20,785 vulnerables have benefitted.
