The third edition of Destination Ondo Inter-Street Football competition would kick off on Sunday.

The chairman of Ondo West football local council, Bobola Akinfolarin disclosed this to newsmen during the draws of the third edition of the competition in Ondo city.

Akinfolarin said this year’s competition will be an improved edition to the previous two earlier organized.

He said six streets will participate in this year’s edition of the competition with all eyes on the outstanding players.

He added that the purpose of organising the competition was to develop sports at the grassroots and to enable the organisers promote the outstanding players from the grassroots to higher level.

He thanked the sponsor, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye for his consistency in sponsoring the competition in the last three years.

Meanwhile, six participating teams have been divided into two groups A and B,which has Odosida, Eyinpeti, Olufemisoro streets in group B, while Newton, Rainbow Okedasa streets are in group B.

Odosida will tackle Eyinpeti in the opening match, while Newton will square it up against Rainbow in the second match.
