Ondo lawmaker hails gov for constituency project funds

A lawmaker representing Akure North Constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Kolawole Ologede, has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for approving the release of funds to lawmakers for constituency projects.

Ologede gave the commendation while inaugurating boreholes he facilitated for residents of Eleyowo and Ogbese communities in Akure North Local Government Area.

Describing Aiyedatiwa as a model of good governance, the lawmaker stated that the governor’s commitment to grassroots development had empowered legislators to execute impactful projects for their constituents.

He noted that his gesture was in appreciation of the unwavering support of the people and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) during elections in the state.

According to him, despite the absence of formal requests from the people, he remained attuned to their pressing needs and would continue to initiate projects that enhance their quality of life.

Reacting to the development, the Chairman of APC in Ward 6, Eleyowo, Adejoro Boye, lauded Ologede’s effective representation, noting that the boreholes would significantly alleviate the water scarcity challenges faced by the communities.

Similarly, a resident of Ogbese, Olayinka Johnson, expressed excitement, stating that the project was the first of its kind in the area.

The Local Government Women Leader of the APC, Funmilayo Akeredolu, also appreciated the lawmaker for providing potable water for market women in Ogbese. She urged him to sustain his commitment to service and ensure more developmental projects reach the grassroots.
