Ondo Lawmakers-elect for inauguration today

All is now set as the nineth Ondo State House of Assembly will be inaugurated today.
The ceremony will kick off with the valedictory session at the Assembly complex.
In separate interviews with The Hope, some of the legislators-elect expressed their readiness and happiness to be part in the valedictory session after passing through training and induction programmes for them.
The Deputy Speaker, Mr. Iroju Ogundeji, said the inauguration will come up as scheduled with valedictory session for the incoming lawmakers.
Ogundeji, who represents Odigbo 1, assured of more dividends of democracy from the members of the assembly through effective lawmaking and oversight function.
He noted that the interest of people in the state is paramount to them and therefore pointed out that their interest will be defended through the use of instrumentality of the legislative arm of government in the state.
His words: “The electorate will enjoy us through effective oversight function and lawmaking among others.
On his part, a member-elect from Akoko Northwest II, Mr Taofiq Muhammed, said he was prepared for the inauguration as well for the legislative duty for his constituents to have his impacts,
Muhammed assured of his commitment to make change at the area of national growth, unemployment and reduce crime rate in the state through legislative means.
He said “l will contribute by making change at the area of state growth. create model to reduce unemployment and crime”
Also, a lawmaker-elect representing Akure South 1, Mr. Simeon Borokini, said he has prepared for the valedictory session. as well the legislative duty.
Borokini explained that the training programmes he has gone through in the last few days with other lawmakers-elect would help a lot to enable him deliver as expected of him from the people of his constituency and the state in general.
