Ondo lawmakers resume Wednesday

Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly have been directed to resume legislative activities on Wednesday ,1st February 2023 after over five weeks of recess.
This was contained in a statement by the Clerk of the House, Mr Benjamin Jaiyeola, who stated that the resumption is at the instance of the Speaker of the House, Mr. Bamidele Oleyelogun, calling all the State House of Assembly Members to resume on Wednesday.
The Speaker of the House, while presiding at a plenary on December, 20th 2022 during the passage of the 2023 appropriation bill informed that the members were going for recess to enable them actively concentrate on their constituencies’ projects and equally allow them to go for medical checkups.
According to the statement, “This is to inform the general public, especially the Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly that all Honourable Members will resume back to work on Wednesday, 1st of February 2023.
Jaiyeola stated that Mr Speaker directed all the Honourable Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly to resume legislative business as stated.
The lawmakers are expected to attend to legislative assignments accordingly.
