Ondo LG Chair presents six utility vehicles to council leaders

The Executive Chairman of Akoko South West Local Government Area in Ondo State, Ayo Ajana, has presented six brand new vehicles to council leaders and senior management members.
Speaking at the inauguration held at the local government Secretariat, Ajana said the initiative was aimed at enhancing the mobility and welfare of key political and administrative figures.
The council chief also described the gesture as a practical demonstration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to strengthening grassroots institutions.
He emphasised that the provision of the vehicles was not merely about comfort or status, but about creating a more functional and responsive local governance system.
While appreciating the governor’s continuous efforts at empowering local government officials, Ajana reaffirmed that his administration remains dedicated to improving service delivery and staff motivation.
He added that further interventions would be rolled out in the coming months to support other senior officials within the council.
Ajana urged the beneficiaries of the vehicles to remain committed to their duties and to continue working in line with the Governor’s developmental agenda.
According to him, collective dedication to duty is essential for fostering sustainable democratic governance and development at the grassroots.
The beneficiaries of the vehicles include the Vice Chairman of Akoko South West Local Government, the Head of Local Government Administration, the Secretary to the Local Government, the Leader of the Legislative Arm, the Director of General Service Administration, and the Director of Finance and Supply.
