Ondo LG polls: ODIEC to begin training of ad-hoc staff Jan. 7

The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) is set to train qualified ad-hoc staff to assist during the local government elections scheduled for 18 January 2025 in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by ODIEC’s Department of Operations and signed by the Commission’s Press Officer, Mrs Bisi Lawani.
According to the statement, the training for successful applicants for the positions of returning officers and electoral officers will take place on Tuesday, 7 January 2025, at the Commission’s headquarters on Oba Ile Road, Akure.
Training for ward returning officers is scheduled for Wednesday, 8 January 2025, at the 18 local government areas, while presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, poll clerks, and assistant poll clerks will be trained on Thursday, 9 January 2025.
The list of successful applicants for the position of returning officers has been posted at ODIEC headquarters, while lists for the other categories will be displayed at the respective local government areas.
