Ondo ‘ll be bastion of good governance under Aiyedatiwa – Adelami
Ondo State Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami has said the state Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa is fully committed to changing the narratives stigmatising the State as a civil service state.
Adelami disclosed that he was absolutely committed to giving the best of support to his boss, to change the narratives, even as he emphasised his stance to be loyal in the discharge of his duties to the service of the state and the people.
The Deputy Governor spoke on Sunday while addressing the congregation of the Chapel of Grace, Government House Akure, for the first time.
“I have spoken with the Governor one-on-one, I make bold to say that he is loaded. We are going to change the narratives of Ondo State from a civil service state to what will be the pride of us all.
“I can assure you that Ondo State will the bastion of good governance. Please we covet your prayers”, Adelami appealed to the congregants.
Presenting the Deputy Governor and his wife, Mrs Olubukola Adelami to the congregation, the Chaplain of the Chapel of Grace, Government House, Akure, Venerable Kunle Babalola prayed that the State be blessed in all facets during the administration of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
He said, ” I have read and heard a lot about you sir, the new Deputy Governor; I’m sure God is using this position to compensate you on all what you have done to make life worth living for everyone that came across you”.
In his sermon the Chaplain said for Christians to continually enjoy the Covenant-keeping nature of God, they must always be faithful enough to make commandment-keeping their nature.
He said Year 2024 will depend largely on the extent to which Christians set aside Sundays for Holy Service, get committed to daily personal devotion, engage in regular spiritual rejuvenation through fasting, propagate the word of God through Evangelism and care for the underprivileged.
