Ondo mourns Fasehun

The people of Ondo town, administrative headquarters of Ondo West Local Government, has described the passing away of the factional leader of  Oodua Progressive Congress (OPC), Dr Fredrick Fasehun, as a colossal lost not only to the people of the town, but entire country.

Speaking on the demise of the late OPC leader, the Chairman sub-committee media and publicity, Ondo Development Committee (ODC) Alhaji Yemi Adewetan, described the death of Fasehun as great loss to Ondo town,  he said the death of the late foremost medical doctor is comming few weeks after death of the Chairman of ODC late Ope Bademosi.

Adewetan, described the late OPC leader as an accomplished professional and a committed indegene of Ondo town, who he said has contributed emensly towards the development of his home town.

While commiserating with the the family as well as people of Ondo town,  the community leader explained that the late Fasehun has devoted his life to the struggle for the enthronement of democracy and good governance as well as in defence of the people’ s rights.

In his own, High Chief Ambrose Akinsade, who is the head of the family of the late Fasehun, and Ogunye dynasty, described the death of the late security expert as a big loss to Ondo town and the country at large.

High Chief Akintade said he was shocked since the news about the death of the late OPC leader, but prayed that God Almighty will grant him eternal rest.

He describing him as a complete Yorubaman and indegene of Ondo town per excellent who loved his race and country and did everything humanly possible to ensure that his people were free from tyranny and oppression.

“The family has loss another icon, as medical doctor, he was a complete democrat and security expert whose impact in safeguarding the lives and property of the people of his country always remain paramount in his mind.

“The family will surely miss him especially in the areas of encouraging m\ny younger one on how to become future leader. We shall surely miss his amiable personality, simplicity, wisdom and couragement.

In his own, the leader of Fasehun-led OPC group in Ondo town, Mr. Akin Ogunmoyewa, described the death of the late OPC leader as great loss to the entire members of his group.

He explained that the vacuum created through his demise will be difficult to fulfill within the socio-cultural group and the entire Yoruba race.
