Ondo NAWOJ hails Alhassan Yahya’s election as NUJ President

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ondo Chapter, has extended warm congratulations to Alhassan Yahya Abdullahi on his election as the President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

In a statement signed by the State Chairperson, Comrade Tola Gbadamosi, and Secretary, Oluwatosin Ighoteguono, the Association expressed gratitude to God Almighty for this well-deserved honour.

They also celebrated the historic achievement of Deputy National President (DNP) Abimbola Oyetunde, the first female Deputy National President of the NUJ.

NAWOJ Ondo commended Alhassan Yahya’s dedication to journalism and his contributions to the profession.

The Association pledged its full support, loyalty, and partnership as the new NUJ leadership embarks on a new era of innovation, inclusiveness, and progress.

“We look forward to collaborating with the new NUJ leadership to foster closer relationships among members and to concert efforts toward the development of the association,” the statement read.
