Ondo NMA pledges support for Commissioner

Members of Ondo State chapter of Nigerian Medical Association(NMA) have assured the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Banji Ajaka of their total and unflinching support .
The State Chairman of NMA, Dr.(Mrs.)Stella Adegbehingbe who gave the assurance while leading executive members of the association on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner congratulated him on his appointment and promised to collaborate with him in moving the state health sector forward.
Adegbehingbe described Dr.Ajaka as a prominent member of NMA whom the association were proud of saying the Commissioner’s sterling antecedents in public service, medical doctors in the state were optimistic of his ability to move the state health sector forward.
While wishing the Commissioner and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Professor Dayo Faduyile success in their new assignments,she urged them to adopt an open door policy and carry medical doctors along in health activities in the state.
Adegbehingbe equally commended the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Pharmacist(Mrs.) Folukemi Aladenola and all Directors for their impactful contributions to qualitative health care delivery in the state.
She wished all workers in the health sector a happy and prosperous New Year.
Also speaking, Permanent Secretary of the ministry,Pharmacist(Mrs.) Folukemi Aladenola affirmed that the state health sector has continued to enjoy robust support and relationship with the Ondo State branch of NMA.
He commended them for their immense contributions to effective health care services in the state and described Dr. Ajaka as an experienced medical practitioner and administrator with exemplary leadership qualities.
Ajaka while appreciating the doctors for the courtesy visit called for better collaborations among stakeholders in the state health sector saying the overall goal was to take the sector to greater heights.
The Commissioner urged all health workers to see the sector as one big family while imploring members of the various professional associations in the health sector to see themselves as colleagues and friends towards achieving higher productivity.
Ajaka equally assured the medical doctors of synergy and unflinching support.
