The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has extended its heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Ondo State following the death of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Tayo Oluwatuyi.
In a statement signed by the Commandant, Oluyemi Ibiloye, the late Oluwatuyi was described as an exemplary leader who was approachable and deeply committed to the welfare and security of the state.
Despite the NSCDC’s relatively brief working relationship with him, the Command acknowledged his significant contributions to the development of Ondo State.
“Tayo Oluwatuyi was a man of the people, compassionate, and fatherly. He was genuinely committed to ensuring the security and overall well-being of Ondo State,” the statement said.
The Command also commended Oluwatuyi’s efforts in strengthening collaboration between the government and security agencies, describing his service as a standard for others in public office to emulate.
Prayers were offered for the repose of his soul, and the Command conveyed its sympathy to his immediate family, wishing them strength and fortitude in the face of their loss.
As tributes continue to flow, Oluwatuyi’s death has been widely regarded as a significant loss to his family, the state government, and the entire Sunshine State, where his contributions to governance and security were well-recognised.
