Ondo NSCDC seizes 163,000 litres adulterated products

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command said it has seized about 163,000 litres of adulterated petroleum between January 2022 and January this year.
The command added that the seizure involved 1,900 cases handled in the year under review.
It reiterated that it would continue to protect critical national assets and infrastructure of government both Federal, State and Local Government s.
The state Commandant of NSCDC, Olayinka Olatundun, during a media briefing stated this at the Command’s headquarters in Akure, yesterday.
He said the cases included vandalization of transformer stolen prepaid meters, malicious damage of farm by herders cybercrime, robbery illegal mining among others.
“It is also worthy of note, that our 25 Grievance Management Centres cut across the state entertained 510 cases in the year under review with 406 cases resolved using Alternative Dispute Resolution.
“The rejuvenated Anti-vandalism Unit of the Command arrested 15 suspects in the year under review .
“Also recovered were four trucks, seven wooden boats, three Sequoia jeep amongst other vandalization tools as the cases are still ongoing in the court.
Olatundun who presented the operational score card of the Command for the year 2022, also disclosed the operational plans for year 2023 .
He noted that there were intelligence gathering towards the protection of Agro-Allied investments as well as mediating between farmers and herders.
The NSCDC boss expressed his appreciation to the Akeredolu-led administration for his support to the Corps in the area of logistics.
