The Ondo State Government has reaffirmed its strong commitment to supporting local and international partners workin gwiithn the education sector to ensure their collaborative efforts are fruitful and impactful.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun, made this declaration while hosting a delegation from Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Kids and Teens Resource Centre, which included its foreign partner, Mrs. Emilie Klein.
While welcoming the team, Ajibefun commended the NGO for its significant work in the state and the noble vision it pursues.
He particularly appreciated the organisation for aligning its programmes and activities with the educational development policy of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The Commissioner assured the delegation of the government’s sustained support and partnership with various educational development organisations in the state.
He further used the opportunity to call on other potential partners to join the state in its mission to transform the education landscape.
Speaking earlier, the partner, Mrs. Emilie Klein, accompanied by the Nigerian Chief Executive Officer for Kids and Teens Resource Centre, Mr. Martins Mary Falana, expressed profound gratitude to the Commissioner and the Ondo State Government.
She specifically thanked them for creating a conducive and supportive environment for their organisation to operate within the state.
Klein stated that the cardinal goal of her NGO is to contribute meaningfully to educational development in the State by improving access to education, especially for children in rural communities; building schools and providing essential educational support; partnering with the government to reduce school dropout rates and ensuring that every child has access to quality education.
