Detectives of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested five cult kingpins, who were allegedly caught with different charms with human blood in a bottle at a popular hotel along Ore road in Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government area of the state.
The Hope Metro gathered that the hotel is a hideout of the cultists, who engaged in other dubious acts.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph, in a chat confirmed that the arrest was made in a bid to stem the rising cult activities in the state.
He said: “They were arrested and have been transferred to the Anti-cultism department for useful interrogations.
“Meanwhile, efforts have been intensified to arrest other members of the gang. And they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
“The war against anti-cultism in the state is on and we can only do better with the support of the public,” he added.
He, however, urged residents to always report suspicious characters and movements to the police.
