Ondo police parade suspected murderer, ATM thief, others

A 35-year-old driver, Niyiseun Oluwadare, was on Tuesday paraded by men of the Ondo State Police Command, for stealing N1.2 million from a passenger along Idanre road in Akure South local government area of the state.
In his confession to The Hope Metro, Oluwadare, a father of two from Osun State said he had been taking the woman to Idanre market for the past one and a half years.
” I have been taking the woman to the market every five days and I knew she has huge amount of money.
“Sometimes, when she does not have time to go, she would call on me and give me money to get the items for her.
“On that fateful day, I planned with one of the boys that issues tickets along Idanre road to carry out an attack on the woman, so as to collect the N1.2 million.
“We were three in numbers, but the third person ran away. But I gave the man issuing tickets N20,000, ” he confessed.
Also paraded was Uchena Emmanuel, a 20-year -old cashier, who used a bank customer’s ATM card to withdraw money from the account.
Emmanuel confessed to The Hope Metro that he made withdrawals, from the account five times and the total sum was N35,000 .
He pointed out that the POS machine had compromised, saying, he did not use any pin to withdraw the money.
Another suspect paraded was 32 years old Sulaiman Ayuba, who was arrested for murder and cultism in Owo.
The young man had been declared wanted since last year May and was apprehended by the police during the celebration of the cultist 777 celebration in Owo.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Fumilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, all the paraded suspects would be charged to court.
