“I got to where the bike was and because I don’t know how to ride it. I pushed the bike, from Owode to Ijomu street. where I met a man that sells scraps.

“At that moment, I told  him the bike was for sell.  We both bargained and he agreed to pay 17,000.

“He later said he will give me seven thousand naira that I should come back for the balance of N10,000 and later in case the owner of the bike surfaces.

When I called him few days later for my balance, he said he wanted to butcher the bike,  as there was no buyer.

“I quickly went to his place because that was not what we agreed on. On getting to the place and while we were talking, policemen appeared and arrested us,”he explained.

Speaking with Isola who is a scrap dealer, he denied engaging in buying and  stealing bikes.

“I am not responsible for stealing this bike. The man (Dada) who stole it brought it to me for sale.
