Ondo Police unveils security plans for October 1

The Ondo State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Abayomi Peter Oladipo, has congratulated the good people of Ondo State as the country celebrates its 64th Independence Day.

In a statement on Monday, the police spokesperson, SP Funmilayo Odunlami (picture attached), on behalf of the CP, noted that as part of the celebration, the Command will be present to commemorate this year’s anniversary with the usual laudable parade.

The CP urged the good people of the state to remain patriotic and avoid joining any organisation or group that may attempt to disrupt the historic celebration of our nation.

“In view of the celebration, the Commissioner of Police has ordered that all security apparatus of the police be activated to ensure the celebration is hitch-free, and no untoward incident is recorded.

“While wishing the good people of the state a Happy Independence, we urge parents and guardians to warn their children/wards not to partake in any activities that could lead to a breakdown of law and order in the state.

“The Command is committed to the protection of lives and property of all citizens, with security apparatuses activated to apprehend anyone who transgresses the law during the celebration,” the statement read.
