Ondo police vow to arrest killer of herbalist

While still battling to unravel the killers of the 70-year-old woman who was axed to death in Ugbe Akoko, the Police got its hands full again as it must also fish out the killers of a 36-year-old herbalist, Omotayo Omoakin who was killed by unknown assassins but this time around in Ifira Akoko in Akoko Southeast Local Government area of Ondo State.
The Hope found out that Omotayo was gunned down in his house at Ifira Friday evening by unknown gun men.
A source in the neighborhood of the slain herbalist revealed to our correspondent that the late Omo Akin received a phone call and when he came out to meet his caller he was shot dead by his assailants immediately he came out.
Late Omotayo, a polygamist with two wives who resided at Isowo Quarters of the town was said to be a humble and hospitable person who lived a low key lifestyle.
The Dvisional Police Officer in the town, SP Olowoyo Akinbode, who visited the scene of the incident accompanied by his men later carried the corpse of the herbalist to the morgue of Ipe Akoko General Hospital but hinted that the case will be transferred to the state CID Akure for more investigation.
