As political campaigns intensify across Ondo State for the forthcoming governorship election, a retired Anglican priest, Reverend Canon Foluso Ogunsuyi, has praised politicians for upholding a peaceful atmosphere.
Speaking at a forum in Ikun, Akoko Southwest Local Government Area, Reverend Ogunsuyi attributed the reduced potential for conflicts to the rise in education, awareness, and democratic maturity since 1999.
He urged politicians to avoid inflammatory language while canvassing for votes, stressing that decorum fosters peace.
Ogunsuyi also commended security agencies in Ondo State for providing comprehensive coverage to all political parties during rallies.
He reminded attendees that leadership positions are ultimately granted and withdrawn by God.
