Ondo poly appoints new Acting Registrar

The Ondo State-owned Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, has appointed Mr. Olugbenga Michael Oloye as the new Acting Registrar.
Speaking during a meeting with senior administrative officers and chief executives at the institution’s Academic Board Chamber, Mr. Oloye emphasized the need for teamwork and professionalism to restore the registry to its former glory as the backbone of administrative operations.
In his first official duty as Acting Registrar, Oloye charged registry staff to uphold excellence, ethics, and accountability, urging them to lead by example.
He stressed the importance of institutional discipline and adherence to the staff manual, warning that disregarding established guidelines could disrupt the polytechnic’s structure.
He assured staff members of his commitment to their welfare, professional training, and improved workplace ethics. He pledged to organize regular training and retraining programs to enhance efficiency and optimize performance.
The newly appointed Acting Registrar received support from Comrade Saka-Olokungboye Nurudeen, Chairman of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic chapter of the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics (SSANIP). Nurudeen commended Oloye for initiating a stakeholders’ meeting, noting that such a gathering had not been held since 2013.
He highlighted the need to reposition the institution’s registry and urged the new Acting Registrar to prioritize staff welfare and provide clear leadership, assuring him of full cooperation and support.
The meeting was attended by several senior administrative officers, including the Director of Academic Affairs, Mr. Akinsanmi Ayodeji; the Administrative Assistant to the Rector, Mr. Gbenga Ademiluyi; the Director of Student Affairs, Mr. Bayo Elebute; the Director of Records, Research, and Statistics, Mr. Olaposi Ale; the Director of Senior Staff Personnel, Mr. Omololu Ogunmola; and the Director of the Academic Board, Mr. Dotun Arijeniwa, among others.
