The Ondo State House of Assembly candidates of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2023 general elections and the major stakeholders of the party have deliberated on the unity of the state and strategies for the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

The meeting, which was held in Akure, the state capital served as a critical platform for fostering collaboration and charting a collective path towards a progressive and inclusive future.

The deliberations focused on key themes, “Including Economic Development, Social Justice, Education, Healthcare, and Sustainable Governance,”.

Prominent figures of the party at the meeting included Mr. Fadeshola Ojamomi, Mr. Jerry Akintomide, Prince lleola Adegoroye, Mr. Timothy Ayesuwa and others.

They underscored the significance of unity in achieving the party’s vision for the state and emphasized the need for a cohesive approach to address the multifaceted issues confronting the state and ensure the welfare of its citizens. .

As the election is moving closer,  the SDP stakeholders expressed their commitment to presenting a united front, driven by a shared commitment to the welfare and progress of the State.

The stakeholders said they were poised to harness the insights gained from the meeting to formulate a comprehensive and people-centered manifesto for the 2024 elections.

According to them, the party remains steadfast in its dedication to the principles of democracy, social justice, and good governance.

They further added that the SDP looks forward to a united and focused campaign that resonates with the aspirations of the people of the state, as they collectively strive for a better tomorrow.
