While addressing participants, the party State Chairman, Stephen Adewale said the purpose of the gathering was to have a round table discussion on the challenges facing the party and explore the possible ways of moving the party forward.

He added that the meeting has helped them to highlight their various mistakes ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.”
Also speaking, the party’s Organising Secretary for Akoko South East Abeh Adedayo said, “today’s meeting is very essential and I can say after the meeting that there is hope with SDP, we have loose hope before but with what our state chairman and other state leaders did here today, we can all see that there is hope and future in SDP.”
He urged the party’s stakeholders to go back to the grassroots and make sure the mobilisation starts in earnest, even as he appealed to the leadership of the party at the state and the national to ensure that the party is properly funded.
