The Social Democratic Party , SDP, in Ondo State has said that it would set up reconciliation committee that will reach out to all aggrieved members of the party who have defected to other political parties ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The State Chairman of the party, Mr. Oladele Ogunbameru gave the hint in a telephone interview with The Hope.
He explained that through the committee to be set up, the party would approach those who are having grievances against the party to ensure everything is settled for progress to be achieved.
Ogunbameru added that the committee would look at the possibility of bringing them back to the party and see how things could be done in a civil and polite way.
The Chairman who said that the situation in the party is peculiar to all political parties assured the readiness of the party to work within its constitution to reconcile all aggrieved members.
“There is no issue in Ondo SDP, we only have aggrieved people.
“We are going to set up a committee to approach them and look at the possibility of bringing them back to the party”, he assured.
He added that the task to be given to the committee is to ensure harmony is maintained within members.
As the Chairman of the party, he assured that he would do the needful to reconcile and settled all grievances among members.
