Ondo Speaker offers free materials to students

As schools have reopened for a new academic session, no fewer in Ondo East and West Local government areas of Ondo State have benefitted from the back-to-school programme organised by the Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Oladiji Olamide.
The back-to-school programme was put in place to assist students especially the underprivileged in Ondo city.
Summer coaching had earlier been organised for the students at various centres across the two local government areas, while prizes were given to exemplary students.
In his address, the Speaker congratulated the beneficiaries for partaking in this year’s programme, describing education as the only legacy a nation can bequeath her youths.
“Education is the only legacy that one can bequeath any generation. Show me a successful nation and l will show you one that prioritises the education of her youths.”
Oladiji maintained that the back-to-school empowerment project was prompted by his avowed commitment to ploughing back to the society that made him.
He pledged to continue to grow brilliant indigent students across the nooks and crannies of Ondo city with a view to making them worthy ambassadors in the future.
In their various goodwill messages, speakers on the occasion, including traditional rulers and political associates attested to the philanthropic disposition of the Speaker.
Scholarship was given to the most outstanding student in this year’s summer coaching.
