Members of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ondo State Chapter has congratulated Rising Stars Football Club, Akure on their promotion to the Bet9ja Nigeria National league.
The congratulatory message is contained in a release issued, signed by the association’s outgoing assistant secretary Isaac Afolabi and made availeble to newsmen in Akure the State capital.
According to the release, “Rising Stars victory never came as a surprise to us as the team, throughout the season demonstrated discipline and passion which of course are the hallmark of the Sunshine State.
No doubt, Rising Stars’ remarkable success is generating so much excitement amongst the soccer loving people of the State. The multiplier effect of which would yield better results, in the years to come.”
“As SWAN in Ondo State rejoices with Rising Stars, it charges the management of the team and players not to relent but get prepared for the huge task ahead.
We equally call on Ondo State Football Association (ODFA) and the State Government headed by his Excellency Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN to redouble their efforts by providing necessary support for the team to sustain their great achievement.”
