All things being equal, Sports Writers Association Of Nigeria, SWAN, Ondo State chapter will today, Friday July 28 hold its triennial congress to elect new executives to steer the affairs of the association for the next three years.
According to the chairman of SWANECO, Mr Joseph Adesuyan, the elective congress will hold at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Center, Akure.
Three positions which include the posts of Chairman, General Secretary and Financial Secretary are being contested for, while the new executives will fill in other vacant positions.
The position of chairman would be contested between Giwa Segun of News Agency of Nigeria and Michael Akintunde of Adaba FM Radio.
While Isaac Afolabi of Radio Nigeria, Positive FM is contesting for the post of General Secretary and Femi Atolagbe of The Hope will be contesting for Financial Secretary.
