Indications emerged yesterday that the 18 Local Government areas in Ondo state will get new Caretaker chairmen soon.
The development follows the expiration of the three -year tenure of the outgoing elected local government chairmen.
The three-year tenure is expected to end tomorrow Thursday 31.
A reliable government source who spoke with The Hope in confidence on Tuesday said the list of new caretaker chairmen is being compiled by government and may be announced any time from now.
Another source said government is considering directing the outgoing local government chairmen to handover to the Head of Local Government Administration, in their respective local government areas, pending the completion of the list compilation.
According to the source, the final list may not be ready between now and Thursday when their tenure expires.
