Plans are underway to recruit more health workers in Ondo State, The Hope has gathered.
Commissioner for Health, Dr. Banji Awolowo Ajaka dropped the hint while speaking with The Hope in Akure.
According to him, the recruitment process is on, noting that forms will soon be rolled out to qualified personnel who will be picked after successful completion of the process.
While commending Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State for his massive investments in the state health sector, he said that government will continue to give priority to the welfare of health workers in the state.
He explained that government has also approved the 100 percent hazard allowance of health workers, adding that special housing and car allowances have also been approved for them by the present administration.
He said that government has also approved that retired health workers who are still active and are willing to work should be called back with enticing renumeration.
