Ondo traders assure of better days

The Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Market Matters, Princess Adenike Olawoye has assured market women in the state of better days ahead.
She also assured the traders that every market woman in the State will not be left behind in the scheme of things.
Olawoye gave the assurance while addressing the leaders and members of the traders association during her familiarization tour of five local government areas in the Southern senatorial district of the state.
The local governments visited are : Okitipupa, Ilaje, Ese-Odo, Irele and Odigbo where the traders were sensitized.
She said the government has life changing programmes for market women in the state which will enable them take their business to a greater height.
Responding, heads of the associations in the market, commended the SSA for the sensitization.
They however pleaded that the Ore International market which had been shut down due to the COVID-19 epidemic be opened partially
They said some of them borrowed money and pleaded that the loan facilities be extended to them.
Chairman cloths dealers, in the market, Mr Bello Olajide said he wanted the governor to find a means of reopening the market as they need to sell and pay back their debts.
He added that some leaders in the market stopped their dividends to get to them. He praised the effort of Mr Governor on how he has been taking care of the market women.
Iyalode of Ode-Irele, Chief Mrs Oye Olowolabi thanked Mr Governor on the wonderful development in the market sector.
Other places visited were Sabomi and Okitipupa.
