Ondo women farmers benefit from Remi Tinubu’s initiative

By Josephine Oguntoyinbo

Ondo State has benefited from the Women Agricultural Support Programme of the Renewed Hope Initiative, launched by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, to promote women, particularly farmers, across the nation.

The women farmers were urged to seize the opportunity to expand their agricultural ventures and contribute to local and national food production.

Presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries in Akure, the state capital, the Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye, said the First Lady launched the initiative to encourage women to contribute to efforts aimed at ensuring food security.

Osamaye, who took time to explain the various efforts of the Aiyedatiwa administration to boost food security and empower women, stated that the governor has demonstrated that he is not merely paying lip service to inclusive governance.

The Special Adviser assured women in the state that the Our Ease agenda would not only create opportunities but also ensure they are actively included in the scheme of things.

Beneficiaries, including Akinpelumi Funmilola and Comfort Ijasan, described the initiative as a testament to the government’s total commitment at all levels to boosting food production.
