Ooni mourns Owa Obokun of Ijesaland

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has described the demise of the Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, as a great loss to Yorubaland and the entire Oduduwa race worldwide.
The imperial majesty spoke in a statement by his Director of Media and Public Affairs, Otunba Moses Olafare and made available to newsmen in Osogbo at the weekend.
His words: “Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II was not only a father figure to the people of Ijeshaland but also a colossal loss to all the sons and daughters of the Oduduwa race globally. He was a pillar of wisdom and guidance, contributing significantly to the unity and development of Yorubaland.”
“The profound impacts that the late Owa Obokun had on the people of Ijeshaland, Osun State, and the Yoruba nation as a whole can never be overemphasised, as he was a visionary leader and custodian of Ijesha’s rich cultural heritage, whose reign was marked by peace, progress, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of his people.”
“His Royal Highness, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, was an embodiment of the virtues and values that define our great tradition. His leadership, compassion, and commitment to the progress of Ijeshaland will be dearly missed. He was a true beacon of hope and a symbol of the unity that binds us as a people.”
“While his departure is a great loss to our country, we must also celebrate the rich legacy he has left behind, which will continue to inspire generations to come.”
